Soft Apricots

The apricot tree originated in China. Important export countries for fresh apricots are California, Spain, France, Hungary and Israel. Two varieties are cultivated for dried apricots: the acidic, small-fruited apricot and the sweet variety. The most important producing countries for dried apricots are Turkey, Iran, Australia and South Africa. As fresh apricots can only be stored for a limited time, the dried variety has established itself as an alternative. We have developed a special production process for our soft apricots over several years: moisture is added to the dried apricots in a gentle process without any chemicals or other additives. The full aroma develops in combination with a soft bite, making them an ideal snack or addition to muesli or cakes.
